The Demo

The students in the fifth and sixth grade art club were very interested in the demonstration that I did about making Ukrainian Easter Eggs.  It was so much fun for me.  In this picture, I am warming the egg at the candle flame and then wiping the melted wax from the egg to reveal the beauty of the colorful egg which had been hidden by the black wax and final dye coat.  The egg in the forground, held by one of the students, was done in turquoise and brown colors.  It was a favorite with the group.

About NJ

I love to write! I realized in 9th grade that I really enjoyed writing. Every two weeks we had assigned topics that we were to use to write an essay. I liked writing the essays. I'm a mom and a grandma. None of my family live nearby, but they visit when they are able to come. I've been a pastor's wife and a grade school teacher. Now I'm retired and enjoying visiting others, and indulging myself in my hobbies, --writing and art activities. I'm very thankful for the blessings in life.

Ah, that’s a great picture, Nancy. I so envy you with your creativity. I used to have it, but lately it’s hiding from me. 🙂
