My Meadow

This is the time of the year when things are growing wildly and the wild things grow unbridled in my small bit of yard in front of my living room.  I especially enjoy seeing the bright blue of the forget-me-nots and I don’t mow this part of my lawn until the forget-me-nots are spent.  They don’t last that long.  I have mowed the rest of my lawn but I let this little patch of lawn become My Meadow until the wild flowers are done blooming.  I think it is so pretty this time of year.  But, every season has its own beauty.

About NJ

I love to write! I realized in 9th grade that I really enjoyed writing. Every two weeks we had assigned topics that we were to use to write an essay. I liked writing the essays. I'm a mom and a grandma. None of my family live nearby, but they visit when they are able to come. I've been a pastor's wife and a grade school teacher. Now I'm retired and enjoying visiting others, and indulging myself in my hobbies, --writing and art activities. I'm very thankful for the blessings in life.

and my whole back yard is a “meadow” although most would call it a field ready to bale!! Tuesday I THINK guy number three is going to come mow it all down…unless he too is a no-show.

Thanks, Sally. The flowers will soon be finished blooming and then I’ll mow them. Mary Lou, it does seem to be really difficult to get someone to consistently do yard work for you. I hope this one got the job done.
