Pysanky done in Christmas colors

Pysanky done in Christmas colors

After I made some Pysanky eggs in a Christmas theme for the Artists’ Guild, I decided I would like to make some Christmas eggs for myself.  This egg is done in a pinwheel design and uses the colors red, green, black and white. The green is a very dark green and in the photo almost appears to be black.  I enjoyed making this egg and I like the way it turned out.

About NJ

I love to write! I realized in 9th grade that I really enjoyed writing. Every two weeks we had assigned topics that we were to use to write an essay. I liked writing the essays. I'm a mom and a grandma. None of my family live nearby, but they visit when they are able to come. I've been a pastor's wife and a grade school teacher. Now I'm retired and enjoying visiting others, and indulging myself in my hobbies, --writing and art activities. I'm very thankful for the blessings in life.

Hello! I was searching for Pysanky eggs to embroidery for a friend of mine and your design popped up. Would you mind terribly if I embroidered your design, possibily changing the colors to suit my friend’s tastes? Great work by the way, that egg is stunning!

Rebecca, I hope you check in her to read this replay. I don’t know how to reach you apart from this reply. Yes, you may use this design. As far as I know, though I’m not an expert, Pysanky designs are open to everyone who will use them. They are beautiful and meant to be shared. You can change it anyway you’d like. I do that all the time. Changing the colors makes the design look different, usually. I’ll try to find a way to see that you get this answer. I’m glad that you saw the post. nj
