A Good Week

Tomorrow brings the end of this week.  It has been a good week.  Since I’ve been staying home so much during this cold, icy spell of weather, I have been painting pictures again.  I’ve also been sorting through things I haven’t looked at for months, or years.  I’ve been reading my journal from 1990 and discovering interesting things about myself that I’ve forgotten.  I like what I’m reading.

I have more to do on this picture but this is what I have done so far:

This painting is almost finished.  I have to do some detail work yet.  I’m a little nervous about it.  Maybe I’ll be able to work on it again tomorrow.

Today I made a phone call that I was timid about making, –dealing with a financial issue.  It turned out so much better than I expected.  How often things that I feared turned out so much better than I expected them to.

Now I hope my painting details will turn out better than I can imagine.  I can expect good things.  It’s been a good week.

About NJ

I love to write! I realized in 9th grade that I really enjoyed writing. Every two weeks we had assigned topics that we were to use to write an essay. I liked writing the essays. I'm a mom and a grandma. None of my family live nearby, but they visit when they are able to come. I've been a pastor's wife and a grade school teacher. Now I'm retired and enjoying visiting others, and indulging myself in my hobbies, --writing and art activities. I'm very thankful for the blessings in life.
