Snowed In

Technically, I’m not really snowed in.  I can get outdoors and clean off the car and shovel a little path, clean off the porch steps, but the snow is coming down sort of like fog, the roads are snow covered, and I’m afraid to try to drive in this.  I was going to walk to the post office, –one block away, –but there isn’t much room for me to get off the road if a car would come.  Sidewalks are not cleared, and it’s still snowing.

We have more than two feet of snow and it’s still snowing.  I have given up the attempt to mail my letters.  I would love to have them in the mail and on their way, but I had to weigh the possibility of doing myself a bodily harm against getting the mail on its way. And I decided the mail would have to wait.

I’ll stay safely indoor again today.  It’s the smart, and practical thing to do.

About NJ

I love to write! I realized in 9th grade that I really enjoyed writing. Every two weeks we had assigned topics that we were to use to write an essay. I liked writing the essays. I'm a mom and a grandma. None of my family live nearby, but they visit when they are able to come. I've been a pastor's wife and a grade school teacher. Now I'm retired and enjoying visiting others, and indulging myself in my hobbies, --writing and art activities. I'm very thankful for the blessings in life.
