Work on this 1,000 piece puzzle is going very slowly.

Some time in late summer, Rene and I worked at putting this 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle together.  It’s a puzzle he’s had for years but he doesn’t remember when they put it together last.

It’s a real challenge for me.  I like jigsaw puzzles but I am not very good at doing them.  There have been times when I only got one piece fitted into the puzzle.  Lately I’ve had few sessions when I got 10-20 pieces put into it.  The last session we were able to get some of the little “island” groups fitted into the body of the puzzle.  That was a cause for a small celebration.

At the rate we’re going, this puzzle could take another year.  It’s a good thing it’s in a puzzle caddy and can be easily moved to an out of the way location.

About NJ

I love to write! I realized in 9th grade that I really enjoyed writing. Every two weeks we had assigned topics that we were to use to write an essay. I liked writing the essays. I'm a mom and a grandma. None of my family live nearby, but they visit when they are able to come. I've been a pastor's wife and a grade school teacher. Now I'm retired and enjoying visiting others, and indulging myself in my hobbies, --writing and art activities. I'm very thankful for the blessings in life.

Janice, it took me a while to find this blog entry! How nice to have you visit my blog. Yes, this puzzle caddy has been a real delight to me. I ordered it from Bits N Pieces a long time ago. It has four trays to hold the sorted pieces and the trays can be laid over the puzzle and the outer part of the puzzle caddy folds around the nested trays and puzzle and the puzzle can then be carried from one place to another or stored for a while. It can be turned on its edge and the puzzle pieces stay in place. I have almost worn this caddy out! I hope you can get one.
