I walk past this house each morning. This is the view I see when I’m on my way back home.
This is Chauncy’s home and they keep it looking really beautiful. It’s always well cared for and I enjoy seeing it. In the spring, the flower bed in the foreground has tulips. The sign that bears their name in the bed is the little Dutch boy and girl.
Notice the sunflowers at the edge of their yard. Through the summer walk, I saw these sunflowers grow tall and taller. They finally bloomed at the beginning of last week. The blooms were quite small as they opened, unlike what you’d expect from the size of the plants. But each day they got a little bigger and now they fit the stalks perfectly. I loved watching this progress.
When I walk to the high school, I see the back of the sunflowers. The flower heads face east, waiting for the sunrise, so I took the picture on the way home. I really like seeing this yard, and I think the sunflowers are really great.
